I heard it loud and clear today. He said, "As a person of faith, I believe were are called to care for each other and work to ease human suffering. I believe we have been given the capacity and will to pursue this research and the humanity and conscience to do so responsibly."
I'm not even going to broach the subject of the morality of this issue. I'm simply pointing out that even Democrat presidents pull out the "God told me to do it" card when it's convenient.
