I am surfing between the Bette Davis film festival and a baseball game (White Sox starring Devil's A--hole's own Nick Swisher vs. Detroit). I'm a person of such eclectic tastes and I cry at the drop of a hat anymore.

happy birthday Jimmy!!!!! I'll be joining you in the big 5-5 in a coupla months. yer post brought back all sorts of memories for me. It all seems like it happened last year. we are now official senior citizens and can wear our pants up to our armpits, drive at 10mph with the blinker on and tell those &*%$# kids to get the @*%$# off our lawn

I know how ya feel, Gem. I've been needing bi-focals for a coupla years now but I've either been too vain or too broke to get 'em. I priced some at the optometry shop at Wally World and I'm saving my pennies. Until then I follow yer example and its reading glasses from the Dollar Store for me.

the weather's been dismal here, too. It's been raining all week and chilly. Every arthritic joint in my creaky bod (and that's most of them) is singing "Ave Maria". I can't wait for summer.
