I agree with all you said-well mostly.
The correct translation is not “Thou shall not kill.” “It is Thou shall not Murder.”
If a Christian ( or other religious) organization does not believe in same sex marriage-fine. No one is going to force them to perform the ceremony. Many are joined in misery- err- marriage every day down at the courthouse.
The voters of California have spoken.
A majority of that states population has voted down gay marriage. Discrimination of many kinds has been supported by the voters many times in our history.
I was taught that in the USA we are a democracy. We believe in Majority Rule. But that also that the Majority has the obligation to protect the rights of the Minority.
Just a couple of thoughts from an old straight guy.
