I Find This Pretty Stupid -Lol

Well,is very snowy here in Epsom,New Hampshire.
The worst part of this storm is mostly south of us.
This is not the reason for this blog.
I always checked the obiturary page every day.
To see if any of my friend have pass away.
While reading, why do these people post pictures that are
fifty years or more on the page.
I think that this is ridicilious.
Even though most people know the name, but the pictures.
I myself do not liked it at all, think it is pretty stupid.
Well that is their business.
Then you have these cute little captioned there.
She loves to sew,he is a Red Sox fan.etc.
Do you think that they give a damn what he or she like.
I find this funny, sorry must be my humor on this.
Do they care that he is a fan or a seamstress, coppler.
When I died that it is.
What happen if you are gay.Do they put this down that he was
once gay?lol
Don't you dare say,Fredo love to play tennis and other
sports and movies,plays etc.
When I am dead just buried me and who give a damn what I do.
Of course not.Poor Fredo.
My bitching for the day.
Then we have he was so wonderful, full of spirit and have
so many grandchildren.etc.

I think it's mostly just for the families to help them feel better. When we had to pre plan my mom's funeral when she went into the nursing home, the funeral home and the newspapers charge per how many words you use. Seems to me like just one more way to get money out of you.

It does sound a wee bit dis-tasteful, I wouldn't like it. I mean whats the point saying after the death what your interest's were anyway, I can see it now, someone saying something about me along the lines of' awww she would have made a great freind'. What's the point in that?

the obit's and the funny papers, in that order... OH, then the horriblescope

I check the obits to see if I am in there.
'she loved dogs and cats and had a fondness for unusual humor. '

To me it's the unintentional humor in the obits that makes them sad. These appear often in little, local papers. Example: "He really loved checkers, even though he always lost." Or, "He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Hazel," to which you are tempted to add, "who now waits to nag him anew."

I look at local ones too, to see if anyone I took care of is on there. Sadly, there often is. Of course, they didn't pass on during my shift...
