My older sister Elen taught me to always stand up for what you believe in, and that if you pitch in and do anything - even something small - then you are contributing. The True Colors Tour was inspired by my desire to raise awareness about the GLBT issues during this election year and bring gay and straight audiences together to vote for equality.

I will be traveling to 24 cities across North America this summer along with the incredible performer The B-52s as well as other special guests in select cities like Rosie O'Donnell, Tegan and Sara, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Joan Armatrading, Wanda Sykes, Regina Spektor, Indigo Girls, The Cliks, Deborah Cox and many others. I'm also thrilled to announce that Carson Kressley will be the MC for all of the shows! The tour, presented by Logo, begins May 31 in Boston and ends July 5 in Colorado with many stops in between. And HRC will receive $1 from every ticket sold through the True Colors Fund.

You know, I'm not a politician. But I'm a mom, a sister, an aunt, a niece and a friend. And I am a proud supporter of the Human Rights Campaign. Together, with your support, we are and will continue making a difference.
