Getting Started

Today, was the day that I start shopping for the food pantry.
Not sure what to get,but did get a start.
I bought 5 cans of soup for starters.
A few boxes of pasta.
Silly me,did not even bother to look in my wallet to see how much cash that I got.
Are you ready for this?Ten dollars.
Oh!shoot.Had to bring some of the stuff back and will finished it up this week.
Tomorrow will get tuna fish, some box of crackers .
Tomato Sauce etc.
If you  have any suggestion what else should I put in the box,let me know.
I was thinking putting potatoes, apples,do you think that this will be all right.
I got some apple sacue, cranberry sauce.
Well,at least we got a start on this.
I do want to get it in by the end of the week.
This will be dropped off at the library.
They are doing if you bring food in for the pantry, they will forgo tardiness on late
library books there.
This sounds like a goo deal for some who are late.
Have you done your share yet.
Come on and the time is near.
Thank you so much.remember any suggestion what to put in the box?

Canned meat and beans would be good. I know a lot of people don't know how to cook with them, but dried beans are inexpensive, healthy, and versatile. Definitely fruits and vegetables.

How about tomato sauce for the pasta. If you can bring perishables, how about cheese?

We do food for fines as well. It is a great way to bring in food for those who need it.

Good for you! I've heard people say that there's always a demand for baby food.

I'd think items that have a prolonged shelf life would be a good place to start, sounds like you've got the idea so far
