Gene Robinson the first gay bishop.
Has a movie out which I did not see,but will rent it or
buy it.Amazon or Netflix should have this.
This should be a movie to see about gay families and
raising children.Also Gen Robinson family.
There had been a lot of controversy around here about this
movie.
Thought I would pass this along.

Sound like this movie should be seen with family of gay

Re "How is the bishop's conscience clear?" (Monitor letter, May 22):

It's not just because I was already a big fan of Bishop Gene Robinson that I couldn't get to my computer fast enough to write this letter. It's also because Bishop Robinson starred in the groundbreaking movie, For the Bible Tells Me So, which was shown at Red River Theatres a month ago.

This moving film features the lives of five families, the parents of Gene Robinson included, who each had a gay or lesbian child and how each family sought solace in what the Bible told them.

Depending on their interpretation of "abomination" and the other Bible lessons Mr. Parry cites, four of the families raised their children with love and understanding. The fifth family drove their child to suicide because of what the Bible told them was "so."

I urge Mr. Parry to get to Amazon.com and order the DVD of For the Bible Tells Me So as fast he can get to his computer.
