Being prepared makes it easier to perform random acts of kindness..

My Mother doesn't drive,so she almost never gets out unless my father takes her.The only place she can walk to is the card store down the street.She does that a lot.

       One day,she bought 20 cards and showed them to me that night.She had cards for everything-babies,illness,sympathy,weddings,graduations,new homes,new jobs,every holiday-everything.After I looked through them all.I asked her who they were for.

       Her answer?"I don't know yet."

     "What do you mean?" I cried."Why would you buy all those cards for no reason?"

     "Carmen," she replied."You don't need a reason to buy a card-because once you have the card,you will find the reason."

       I have been buying cards for no reason ever since.
