2.I like to think firm but fair, but actually I am a pushover.
3.Not before aged 8. It encourages too much solitary time and "electronic babysitting" which is such an easy get out for parents. However I watched tv as a kid, I still do and I am a very balanced, normal sensible functioning woman.
4.That they are unconditionally loved. That they are special. That they can aspire to be anyone and anything,

6. I totally agree with beautifully chaotic, there are no bad children, just crappy parents.
