Laura lives in the mountains. I've visited her twice in my travels. Wonderful place! Me? Ha! I live in the prairie flatlands. Nothing but fields of corn and beans, interspersed with trees in woodlots. Pretty boring. But I like it. I can see perfect sunrises and sunsets on the horizon.

Oh I envy you for seeing Laura's place - I haven't long mentioned it to my husband (who is watcing a fishing programme on tv.) - he would be in shangrila fishing at her place -
You too must have some beautiful views - I love sunsets and the new dawns. You must have the long straight roads that seemingly go on forever (as depicted in the movies) - at least, I think, I am right . . .
It always amazes me, how vast, America is and how from state to state, the countryside and weather varies so much. Amazing Country

I recently saw an old rerun of the "Two Fat Ladies" cooking show, and they were hunting grouse or pheasant on a Scottish estate, wading through the heather. The countryside looked so beautiful, so much history there.

I really want to visit Scotland too. Loads of history there - I am still learning about it. Beautiful place, I agree

I've been to England twice, but never Scotland. Perhaps someday.

When you get over here again, visit Wales as well, there are some stunning scenery here too (but having looked at Laura (troutbend) abode - wow, nothing beats her home). Mind you, you live in a mountain area - whereabouts is it? I have meant to ask you that before.
