Well, Opec's chief agrees with what CBS news and I have been saying to you, drilling more oil is not the answer to our gas prices. The problem is insider trading, politics and speculation.
The McClellen mess is closing in on Darth Cheney. Can't wait to see how this one pans out. You can bet I will be putting the CSPAN footage right here for you guys to check out. I'll be having popcorn and snow caps while I watch that one.
Most of you already heard that Al Gore endorsed Obama. He also in his speech made an interesting comparison I thought. For those of you who keep going on about Obama's lack of experience, as the right wing keeps saying in their brain-dead talking points, just remember another candidate who they said wasn't "experienced" enough. That candidate, prevented one of the potentially largest disasters facing our nation. The disaster: the cuban missile crisis and the candidate was JFK. Sometimes, experience isn't the guage for a great leader. Is Obama a JFK? Well, there is only one way to find out now isn't there, and that is letting him have a chance at it. We know for a fact that McSame WON'T be.
Now, I want to talk about Katrina 2, the flooding in the heartland of America and the lack of response regarding it. I commented on another bloggers site here this, and want to go into a little more detail here...
Good question. It's like Katrina 2! I guess the Arabian horse
association is all out of Emergency management specialists

Meanwhile
Bush was in Europe, McCain was at a fund raiser in California, and
Obama got volunteers to go sand-bag inadequate levees and actually went
there. Bush did send them a message though, "know you are loved by a
higher power" or some such. Just know that higher power is not Bush, so
please do not bother him...
Maybe he is trying to prove he is an "equal opportunity" screw-up

You know what really surprises me about this horrible situation? That ANYONE is surprised by the lack of response. I mean, I know that the racism was an assumed reason for what happened in New Orleans. But when it happened in red state, middle America, people act shocked. I am not shocked, hearing of levees breaking, no assistance, National guard trapped in Iraq (a country that NEVER had WMDs, NEVER attacked us, and DOESN'T want us there). The only difference, they voted for this. I wonder how many there rolled their eyes at what happened during Katrina? How many didn't care that to this day, most Katrina survivors STILL have not seen a penny of aid or support? How many thought until now that McCain helping to stop congressional investigations into what happened in Katrina was ok because they felt it was a waste of time and money. Katrina happened in 2005, it's 2008 and the "Road Home" program in Louisiana still hasn't paid out a penny. Where will middle Americans in this crisis be when they are waiting on their checks in 2011?
You will forgive if I seem calous, because I don't mean to sound that way. My heart goes out to them, as it did for those during Katrina. Neither regions deserve what they are getting, regardless of if they voted red or blue. But this stands as more proof, that voting Republican, is a vote against the people's own best interest.
