I must tell you that I will always read your posts over at blogster and I'm one of the lucky ones to be one of your friends that you managed to "strike up". I will read your posts here in mybloggers, too, because I'm as much a friend here as I am over there at the other site.
I hope somebody comes up with some answers for you, too. I don't wish for any kind of a sickness or problem, either, but maybe some simple explanation for what is making you not feel so good...something that only requires some minor routine care, if you know what I mean, like "take two aspirin and call me in the morning" sort of thing.
You take care and just do the best to write when you can, as I do my best to read when I can. Eventually, we'll be in our grooves again and it'll be just great.
There's good and bad everywhere and that goes for right here in the US, yet we are fortunate to have a lot of good to go with that bad. Also, inspite of some of the badness that is sometimes embarrassing, this is still my home and I have no reason to be ashamed to call it my home because it represents a whole lot more to me than just what others may perceive of us.
Oh, Martin, you look mahvelous! I like the look very much, but I like seeing you looking so good and healthy even more!
I really like your kids, Kelli, they are super! They are lucky to have a mom like you but, in all honesty, you are lucky to have them as your kids! It's not always easy, I'm sure, but they bring you such joy. They are good kids, they really are, and they appreciate not only what you have done and do, but they appreciate YOU! That's a wonderful thing.
Hmmmmmm...now I'm wondering if you're really a librarian!
I really liked Manhattan and I believe it was his best. I really don't have a desire to see this movie. I'm not saying that I wouldn't like it, but the thought of it or going to see it just isn't appealing to me. I have seen other Woody Allen films that I liked, were ok, but, except for Manhattan, I've never been thrilled by any of them.
Well, you tell him to continue taking care of himself. Not only should he want to feel and get better, but there are people in his life that want that, too. He sounds like a good friend, AJ.
Well, all I know is I'm feeling really good right now after reading your post. I like that you are so into this relationship and getting more in touch with yourself, which also means you are getting more in touch with your partner and the relationship you have. It makes me happy and it makes me smile, but what I really hope for is that it's making you happy and making you smile.
You are right...in this case, the front of the mezzanine are the best seats. I, too, have seen the show from orchestra and from mezzanine seats, did enjoy the perspective of both but the mezzanine seats allow the fullest effect. (I found the same for Les Miserable, too)
Wow! An indoor swimming pool! I'll bring extra towels and maybe an inner tube...I like floating in a leisurely fashion. Now, is there anything else I can bring? I'd hate to show up at a pool party without having something to contribute, so let me know what you might need, ok? Maybe some WATERcress sandwiches, a WATERmelon, or a salad with WATER chestnuts? I can even bring some fire WATER if this is going to be a wild party!
Seriously, I hope this whole mess is all cleared up by now, for your sake. You know, for your sanity's sake. But, if not, let me know and I'll be over for the pool party!
I don't think you have any reason to feel bad and I'm sure Mikey isn't upset or disappointed in you at all. What is important is Mikey and his health. I hope he's feeling better by now and back to feeling like himself again. I have a feeling that your friendship is as good and strong as it always was, I just hope his health has returned to being the same.
All I know is that I am using the library more. It's a real savings to borrow books to read instead of buying them, as is borrowing DVDs to watch instead of renting or buying them. I pick up free copies of circulars promoting area events (instead of buying newspapers just to find out what's happening), I check out magazines and newspapers there (instead of buying or subscribing to them), and I plan to do even more once the local library is settled back into their real home after their temporary location due to building and construction, which should only be a couple of weeks away.
Martin, how wonderful! THAT is EXACTLY what you mean to people, so you deserve every bit of it! And, you're always so thankful, which is a great gift in return, although no one ever asks for it. I can see the smiles on your face.
Nothing like when the weather doesn't cooperate. I'm usually just so happy to be experiencing something that I don't let the unpleasant elements spoil anything, but sometimes those elements are bad enough to succeed in spoiling a good thing. I hope it wasn't too hot for you...in a closed-in car, that can be tough.
