Here I sit, freaking out and playing the waiting game. I should state that for the record I am not very patient at waiting and need to develop some. My son went out for his drivers exam over an hour ago. I stayed behind because he is using my sisters car as it is far newer than mine and in mint condition.
In BC Canada, we have the graduated license program. You have a Learners license for a year and display a red L on the back of your ride. Then it moves to and N, you have to display that for two years, finally you can take another road test and lose the N and become a full fledged driver. My son took the L just over a year ago and today is his driving test.
As I was typing this, he came in the house proudly displaying his NOVICE license!!! YES! My kid can now go do my running around for me. Although the downside of it? He'll be asking to borrow my truck.*sigh*
