So, the offspring gets his license, I am a proud yet frightened mom. He also gets a job, now I am a proud, frightened and very impressed mom who is asking for rent on the first of the month.
I ask the offspring to do a bit of running around for me, thinking stupidly that he would be EAGER to drive the truck with no mom, no supervisor no nothing!!. What does he say? "I ain't driving all over for you mom, that ain't going to happen, I got my license for ME not so I could be your go to kid."

This is fine, I can handle that and the kid has a valid if annoying point. I thence, back off of my beloved first born. Not even *swear on a stack of BIBLES!!* ten minutes later he asks to use my truck to go to his FRIENDS house. Really? I should up my truck for his personal use and gain and yet for him to run to my moms is a hardship he can't stand to bare? Poor kid. I'm such a bitch. I said NO! Unless he did what I asked in the first place....so he does.

He comes home and then asks....*I promise..my kid IS smart, he had the dumb that day and no brain present* if he could have a few DRINKS and then wait an hour before coming home. OMFG!! He had the license by that point for LESS then four hours, my reply? "Got Brain?"
