Last Sunday I won a $5 gift card at the local Beverly's Fabric. This store was running a promotion for people that brought their own bag when shopping. Since it is within walking distance from my work I usually take my lunch time once a week to get a little exercise in and head on down there. It is very hard for me to leave the store without at least one ball of yarn or a pattern book so I almost always have something. Wooo Hooo all that money I spent over the last month paid off.
I promptly went to the store - search all the yarn isles and discont bin. I finally settled on a couple of balls of Red Heart's Heart & Sole sock yarn. I found a color way self stripping named " Black Jack" It was $4.99 a ball and it takes two balls to make a pair of socks. I happily plopped down my gift card and an additional $6 and left the store with my prize!
I started the socks Thurday night and finished them this morning. It usually takes me 10-14 days to make a pair of socks. Fortunatly my husband was sick and slept all Friday evening and most of Satureday so I was able to knit undisturbed. DOUBLE LUCKY!
Here are my Lucky Socks. I sure hope Beverly's will run that promotion again, I am feeling LUCKY.
