What a waste of money! Eight dollars would buy a lot of ice cream to eat while I work my crosswords.
So sorry Jon. Losing a good friend is so hard. I'll be thinking of you. You're right, he's not suffering anymore.
Glad you and your house came out of it intact!
I cried all the way home after dropping mine off too. Such a paradox: we spend 18 or 19 years getting them ready to leave the nest and when it's time for them to go, we're not ready! He'll be back soon with much appreciation and enthusiasm for your cooking!
I don't understand how one vote works against hunger. Guess I'd better go to the website.
Sounds like much ado over nothing. The trooper still has his job, after all and she certainly wouldn't be the first or last pol to try to use her position that way. She didn't come clean at first, but neither did John Edwards or a number of others. Besides, I'm much more upset that she and her husband are "proud" of their daughter for not having an abortion. I can't ever imagine using that term in that context.
So very sad to think that some folks still believe in such differences between the races. I wonder what can we (the royal we) do to help educate and and eliminate such hostility. Good post, Strider.
This is an answer to many prayers! What a wonderful, wonderful thing. I heard NOLA mayer Nagin talking aobut it but I didn't hear the numbers. Thanks for posting this, John.
Excellent follow up, Grump. What matters the most is our right to have our say, whether we agree with each other or not.
I heard one of them (pols) saying that there would be no help for anyone staying in New Orleans. I sure hope they don't mean that and are only saying it to get people on the move. Stay safe.
Good one, Sue. Hope you're staying safe!
Gorgeous! I hope they don't use that for actual trash. Good job, Jon.
