I have accomplished little in the past few weeks but Rip VanWinkle would be jealous. I have been on antibiotics for about five days now and this nasty sinus infection is finally loosening its grip on me. I am glad to be feeling better after spending so much time resting and sleeping.
We were blessed with a sunny yet somewhat chilly day today. I hope that the warming trend continues. It would be great to hang wash on the line next week.
I know that old man winter hasn't had his last gasp yet. In the northern part of Genesee County where we live we got about an inch or so of snow Thursday night. Further south they got a little bit more snow. Flint has another inch or so and they will have beaten the record for the most snowfall. Although it is the end of March, it is not uncommon to get snow in April here in Mid-Michigan.
My nine-year-old daughter is on Spring Break now, so we'll get to sleep in next week. We bought her a pair of Adidas cleats for soccer this week, so I hope the weather is nice enough so we can walk to the park where she can kick the ball around. The library isn't too far from there and we will make a couple visits to there too.
I am hoping Spring is here to stay. I am ready to go for walks outdoors and watch everything get green. ;)
