Hello and good afternoon friends. I noticed that Deb is in full countdown mode but she is looking forward to a cruise and I am not quite so excited to countdown to my surgery. I still retain my optimism though and am preparing myself for an approximate hospital stay of two days (or more).
A nurse from the hospital called today to go over my paperwork and she said I will probably be in about two or three days. Before I go home I have to go number one and number two successfully or I stay until I can. Even babies don't have that much pressure to go home...lol.
I have missed my internet world for the past few days and I am feeling well enough to spend some time here today. I was the lucky winner of a nasty bronchitis virus at the beginning of the week and I think I am actually feeling somewhat better. I know all the sleep that I have gotten (and the sleep I attempted to get despite all the coughing) have helped me feel okay today. No thanks to the doctor who told me I have a virus and I would have to return in a week to ten days before he would prescribe antibiotics. Even after I told him that I have surgery in two weeks! Such is life.
I had such a busy weekend that I never blogged about my son's Parent Night and everything else that went on. It was a really nice event and we were given yellow carnation boutonnieres and yellow roses. I was proud to be able to stand there with him in front of the crowd. I will be even happier when I see him graduate from high school. He has been through a lot.
Nine-year-old daughter's soccer team ended up playing a U10 boys team last Saturday morning through an error on the game schedule. The girls didn't "win" (in AYSO they don't keep score) but they did give those boys a run for their money.
It has not been the best of weeks being sick and the weather outside with temps above average. But it is nice to have some warm weather for a little while longer because winter will be upon us in a couple of months.
I am glad it is Friday and the weekend is here. More time for rest and relaxing with my family. I am also excited about the debate tonight and I am glad that it will go on. Should be a good one. TGIF
