I rented a TV to see Wimbledon in my bed-sit. We fed coins to the electric meter. We discussed if Oliver Twist had lived there. Often, we went to the local Arab butcher to buy lamb chops. We celebrated our honeymoon before our marriage. It was in Polish and Hebrew, which tells you how it worked out.

I adore Dickens - his books altered London and the surrounding areas (which is now more or less, known as London), bringing attention to the poverty which was rife amongst the citizens of the community
