Walls are monuments to the stupidity of man
Shortly
after the Holocaust some Jews suggested we separate from the world for
200 years. Perhaps, absence would have made us fonder or at least a
little more tolerant of one another.
The 200 years shrank to a
few days as conflict erupted. Nine wars since then have shown Israelis
the folly of co-existence and of foreign entanglements. In that sense
our wall might have been a solution 60 years ago.
Now, it is only a monument to the stupidity of man.
