Twenty years ago our wadi flooded. The torrent of water was awesome. It swept a car so far downstream we couldn't see it.

The public and their officials have shown no interest to sacrifice any part of their ruinous life styles for the common good.

Nobody can persuade the current regime to change to a less disastrous course. By elections we may bring in new faces, but they also will become puppets within the system already in place.
Bloggers can remind the perpetrators their chickens will eventually come to roost.
Good night and good luck.

They have me on the waiting list for "From Here to Eternity." Borgnine is a fine actor, but I would have chosen 'Marty' to talk about him.
"Attack" arrived starring Jack Palance, Eddie Albert, Lee Marvin, Robert Strauss, Buddy Ebsen and Richard Jaekel.
In my opinion it is the best anti-war movie.

The Chinese could force a peaceful solution by calling in US debts and by curtailing loans. The US military would be without funding. If Iran monitored oil tankers in the Straights of Hormuz, it wouldn't take long to fracture the US economy.

I just responded to an OpEdNews article. Entitled "Israel Ready to Annihilate 70 million Iranians," it was a rehash of reasons given by the Bush bunch to bomb, bomb, bomb Iran. They haven't the nerve to own up to their murderous impulses. The CIA murdered six millions human beings of color. Doesn't that satisfy their thirst for blood?

Personally, I prefer the blues ballad "Stormy Tuesday." Hold on, that may be "Stormy Monday." I am often confused.

The military is a natural haven for fools, thieves and degenerates. Men of honor such as Pat Tillman are shot.
It makes me wonder about General Petraeus. YPiR

"I never had sex with that woman" played hourly for years on Israel Radio. McCain dumped the mother of three who had waited for him while a POW. For Edwards I liked the lovechild angle until he denied he was the father. I've known pimps with a kinder heart.

These men won't be on CBS. If they were, Katie Couric would chastise them for undermining the troops in Iraq. YPiR

Years ago they had self-service cafeterias. The in-crowd would draw hot water in a coffee cup. A walk to the table netted ketchup. Instant tomato soup!

If you view the rooftops of Tel-Aviv, you will see a forest of white water tanks. Each with a solar panel, it heats the water for a family.
More ambitious solar projects we have executed in the USA the hardware too expensive for Israel.
We all know the electric and hydrogen patents for cars were bought by the auto industry. Hopefully, these firms will go bankrupt and be forced to sell the patents to the Chinese.
It will be interesting how the energy companies suppress the new MIT process.YPiR

Tomatoes simmered 24 hours make a nice sauce with thinly sliced onions and garlic. We boil fresh peppers and fava beans in a separate pot. Towards the end we might throw in a few bits of hamburger for seasoning. We serve chili with a boilermaker. If we miss on the chili, we can have another shot and a beer.
