I think I have that same vacuum. The little round cover won't stay shut on my duster part so the air suction is weak. It got really loud all of a sudden too. I need a new vacuum but I haven't had this one for very long. I still think when you buy something, it should last forever.
My front gutters fill up with maple helicopters. I can clean them out from the first step of my ladder but I always think it would be great to have those gutter covers so the seed things wouldn't get down in the gutters in the first place.
What a busy productive day you had. My recurring bad dream involves not being able to open my high school locker. Only now I also can't remember which locker is mine. Granted it has been 57 years since I graduated from high school. But why does it still haunt me? It must mean something.
He looks sort of like a woodchuck. Are they related? I don't think I have ever heard of a marmot.
Hooray for the good checkup. I always used to get nervous around mammogram time until I got the good news.
You should probably talk to the security guard in advance. You don't want to be mistaken for a prowler.
How rude of people to say they are coming and then be no shows. You might have been able to rent to someone else. Inconsiderate doofuses.
I love your description of the poppies. Yours look like doubles. They are so full. Blowsy indeed. Our are all single petaled. I have big reds and small pinks.
We only missed one day. Had planned to stop at Mammoth Caves. One woman's father in law in CT took a turn for the worse. We got back late on Saturday night and she and her husband were going to drive to CT leaving about 3 in the morning. Fifteen hours of driving after we just did fourteen hours.
I just got back from North Port on the Gulf. Hot, hot, hot. 90 degrees and 90% humidity. It is 90 here (near Chicago) today but low humidity. That makes all the difference.
I only rode once or twice. I went up when the horse went down, then we met in the middle. Ouch.
As usual you make me laugh with your observations.
Back in the day, when it was still called Decoration Day, we used to take peonies to the cemetery to the family graves. Peonies were always in their blooming best then. My peonies have at least two weeks before they will bloom this year.
We had floods like that two weeks ago. So terrible for the people who lost everything to the waters.
Local birds are getting really loud about 4 in the morning now when it is still dark. It is waking up Dudley the cat, who tries to get everyone up.
