Growing My Way?

This time last week I was sitting downstairs by the fire writing to you on my laptop.
This week I'm back upstairs in the office using my old pc because I want to share some pictures I took of my back garden this afternoon.
I haven't taught myself how to upload pictures from the camera to the Mac laptop yet but it's on my list of things to do.
What a difference a week can make at this time of year!
The weather on the weekend was nothing short of spectacular! Got a lot of yard work done.
I made a liar of myself and did all the edging of the back gardens by myself after all. It took me two days and several naps in between mind you but I gotter done.
Plus, I cut the lawns for the first time this year.
Sunday aft I sat out on the back deck and admired it all - very rewarding!
Then, Monday, the rains came.
The gardens are loving it and I thought I'd capture some of the colours - something I don't have too much of as the season progresses and as the plants mature simply because I don't get a lot of sun due to the canopy effect the trees make once they're in full leaf.
Anyway, the garden maintenance is done for the time being. I'll wait until things bush out and grow more then do some thinning. But other than that, they're good to go.
I'm sporting a rotten cold (it's hard to swallow) and I'm trying to remember when the last time was that I had one.
Vitamin C, oregano oil drops, Buckley's and lot's to drink - that's my regimen at present.
Who the hell gets a cold in the Spring?
'Course it's been all around me. My brother had one when I visited him in Toronto, my daughter and her husband visited and they weren't feeling well, then my son came down with it and now I guess it's my turn. Damn!
Anyway, here are the pictures I took this aft . . .
Shine on xxx

Our Provincial flower - the white Trillium

Mosquito fern

Baby hosta lily

Haven't a clue flower

Jolly jump-up (kind of wild violet)

Can't remember the name flower

Japanese Boxwood - this is the scary plant that can grow 6" overnight!

Commonulous dandelionus - amazing flowering plant; the leaves are edible and wicked wine can be made from the flowers!

Reason for ending garden shoot (yipes!)

Mosq. fern looks like a Maidenhair, but what do I know. I tried oregano oil orally once. NEVER AGAIN! Yuck. Hope you are feeling better.

Nice to see you again and glad that you made an appearance here to see you.
Those pictures are great.we have johnny jump up here.Like a miniature pansies. They pop up every year and almost take over the garden. We gave a lot of them away every year.
The first photo is like our trumpet vine flower.
Nice to see you and do not be a stranger.
