Volcanos will blow in succession and that will work to place ash in the atmosphere. Ash in the atmosphere harm lungs. It will also work to change weather patterns.
Be advised that it is going to be a very cold winter this year. It is also going to be a very hot summer as well.
You see, volcanic ash contains fine granules of volcanic glass. The sun hits these particles and you get a prismatic effect as well as magnification and an intensifying effect of the sun's rays.
Be sure to cover yourselves well this year. Especially if you are fair skinned.
