Update on an Ongoing Revolting Development

Here we go again folks.
Today British Petrolium is going to try to plug up that gushing oil spill again. They've gotten off their thumb sitting and this time they are propsing another rear ended idea to try to plug up the leak with mud and then add cement.
I can tell you right off that BP's new attempt is going to fail miserably. I am tapping into my personal experiences with home plumbing which takes a lot of common sense. Something BP technicians and executives who have been assigned to plugging the leak obviously do not possess.
Does anyone smell that all too familiar stench of dull brain smoke yet?
anyone who has had pipes burst in basements have seen the water gushing and filling the basement to well above knee level. The only way to begin the job of repairing the leak was to turn off the water supply so the water would stop spewing forth from the burst pipe.
Had BP used their common sense logic they would have installed a shut off valve at strategic points of the pipe. Before and aft just in case there was a break down in the system. Then all one had to do is to shut the valve down. Wa La! No more leak but no one thought of it before hand. No safety or back up system spells disaster.
During the repair of a gushing water pipe it is quite fruitless to try to work while the water is spewing from the pipe. Try slinging some mud at your sprinkler system in an attempt to bury it. You will find out very quickly that water always finds the easiest path out of any attempt at conatinment to continue flowing.
In any case. there is another problem that has been arising in sunny la Florida. Fishermen who have become unemployed because of the oil problem. All fishing has had to be banned until someone finds a viable solution to this ecological disaster. A word of warning. I wouldn't buy fish that has been caught offshore from Florida if I were you. Raw oil and even processed oil is very toxic. Well, you see this fishermen have been sitting around bored out of their skulls. Each day that they can't go out to ply their trade means thousands of dollars being lost. The fishermen have gotten together to propose being hired to ski, the oil off the surface of the ocean. BP representaives flatly refused the fishermen's idea saying that the oil is to toxic and anyone employed just has to have a lot of experience skimming the black stuff up. BP's logic being called by me the "what me worry" syndrome. BP has received bids from two foriegn countries to do the job of skimming the oil up and BP is seriously considering the bids. Talk about hiring American....
Well folks this ecological disaster hopefully will become the heads up for the century for our lawmakers. Keep your eyes open to see how it all pans out in the end. I hope it will influence how you will cast you vote during the next go round.
Meanwhile Washinbgton is sweating it out because the eyes of the country on on them.
while Florida is getting a bad cholesterol problem....
