World Cup Draw

I have just watched on the news, that England  lost their attempt at hosting the 2018 F.I.F.A World Cup draw.

It has been won by Russia - - EXCELLENT!

For the most of this year, Britain has been bombarded by ‘CUT-BACKS’ courtesy of this present government.

They have wrung out the people as you would wring out a ‘floorcloth’

IF, England had won the draw, there would have been ‘new’ this that and the other, built or re-decorated etc. – COURTESY of the ‘RATE PAYERS’!!!!

Hhhmmmm, wasn’t it earlier this year that The Telegraph newspaper published the ‘false claims’ from the politicians . . .

I wonder how many of them paid it back ?. . . not many!!!!!!

It was sickening, to see the prime minister waffling on about why the World Cup ‘ought’ to be held here – after stating his case about having to reduce all manner of payments to the less better off.

I like football, but I would rather see money going to the people who really NEED the cash to live.

Judging by what happened in Vancouver for the Olympics you're better off without a World anything.

My point is, the British goverment have announced so many cutbacks in allowances that a heck of a lot of people depend on to live.
This, they say is to clear the national debt - fair comment, but then in the next breath, say that they want to host the world cup in 2018??? Which undoubtedly would cosist of money (we haven't got) to host it!!!
I'm so glad that we aren't doing it.

Qatar (pronounced "Gutter") got it in 2022. Imaginbe. Football in 120 degree Fahrenheit heat! They will have to build at least five domed, completely air conditioned football stadiums. Soccer/footbasll stadiums are 25-30 percent larger than baseball or American football stadia. But then, the Arabs can afford it, now that they have our money.

I think it'd be pretty horrendous, playing in that kind of heat

Jon, you know how much Chris (bedrock) likes football ( I remember you both chatting at the cup before last ) But when the government are taking the bread out of children's mouths in one hand and handing it back to 'football' - we both agree that it is wrong.
'The M.P.'s Expenses' row - consider just how much money, these parasites robbed from the people! A few of them have, paid it back, fair play (possibly to avoid further action)????? Then there are the ones who 'denied' any 'wrong' doing - check out my next post . . . !
Oooh, I dunno - there are somethings that really annoy me
