On occasion, I manage to get a Hereford village called Hay-on-Wye. It is a village of 'Book shops'! Antiquarian books at that . . . I am in my element! There are shelves full of such fascinating ages! You can go into just one, and spend half a morning merely picking up various volumes and just browse through it - there are the 'massive' old family bibles which are leather bound and sometimes with small 'lock and key' fastenings. Fantastic day out!
The frame totally enhances your painting Jon, good choice
The tartan trifle sounds interesting! I love Scotch Broth (Heinz . . . haven't tried my 'own') and Shortbread - Yay - I have made my own too - not bad either I think it would be a bit hard to get some of the poetry 'mastered', I have read a few of them and basically gave up - there are some wondrous expressions to get to grips with!
There is nothing quite as enjoyable as looking at a newly decorated & carpeted home - especially, when it is your 'own' - it's an exhilarating, feeling Good to have you back Jeri
Chloe my Rottie is all up to date and Tiddles my cat too I love my pets, but not the lodgers which can catch a ride with them It is up to me to make sure they don't hitch a ride
- hey, I do like your picture & I agree, it does have an art deco look to it
I hope this film will be shown on the documentary channel, looks so interesting. He is a very special person. Even though he has gone through so many bad times, he holds no bitterness - only 'love'. Good man.
Entirely agree (but I will continue to colour my hair - which ever hue I fancy at the time . . . who says 'Punk' is just for the 'young' . . .
I read a lot of Napoleon Hill around 2004 - and took it all in. He was one of people behind my attitude of 'positive thought'. Worked for me too!
I suppose that there is, a similarity between them . . . . but Anthony Hopkins hasn't got David Essex's eyes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ahhhh swooooon . . . .
You are getting there! - Hey, did you feel the earthquake up there?
WoW! You 'spun' the wool too? You are so gifted and immensely patient (and dedicated). Your garment is superb Marg. I love the pattern - the colour suits the style too.
I will be sooo happy to get the daylight hours back to begin to enjoy the longer daylight
Robert Redford in The Electric Horseman, is that the one where he has sort of 'neon lights' on his jacket and Jeans? I not sure, if I am mixing up with some one else.
