It makes it much tougher on you, to be the friend he obviously, needs as well as the parental figure. Good luck
- Very contagious!
- 'me' - elegant???? you don't know me girl I can be downright dirty myself at times I do appreciate you not wishing to cause offense, but it doesn't cause me any (actually, if Lynnie hasn't taken it off yet, you may want to listen to a Rolling Stone song called: ########## Blues!!!!) I had never 'heard' of this particular one and did, have a surprise when I listened to it on Saturday - even though it had been on my playlist for ages!!! ) If Lynnie has, got rid of it for me, listen to it on youtube!!!!!
I recognize a lot of your reminisces from personal experience! I don't mind the lack of co-ordination in the matching colours - I put that down to my eccentricity - Who wants to grow older gracefully anyhow? It is our turn to shed the shackles of 'doing what is 'expected' and, relax enough to be 'ourselves'
Love this one - I remember it was in 'Lock Stock & two smoking barrels' - one of my utmost favourite movies of all time
Fabulous!! Loved 'em
According to the gospel of 'George' my next door neighbour whos soooooo much more than me about gardening (washing, ironing, mechanics, cooking etc, - you know the type!!)it ought to be done before the sun get too hot and at dusk. Obviously, I try to do it at the exact opposite in order to wind him up (I do, do it in the evening as well, for the sake of the plant)
(Hobbes, don't let on to your dad, but you take better photos than him!!)
????? . . . .OK, that went rather well . . . . . . . If at first you dont succeed and all that . . . (give up)!
Wow! You have done a good job here I was working in Tooting Broadway (London) in a boutique named Chelsea girl. Another girl who worked there with me was an ardent fan of Jimmi Hendrix and she wore an arm band for about 6 weeks in mourning for him[HEART.It's frightening, to think that I'm old enough to be the 'mother' of all those stars you mentioned . . . . . .
Nature is cruel, without a shadow of a doubt, but, it is survival, I suppose. I have had a few 'run-ins' where cats have brought their booty home with them- the first time involved a 'frog', which my daughter and I believed to be dead - oh! were we wrong! How neither of us had cardiac arrests on the spot, I'll never know - we were both 'scared stiff' of them anyway and, when it began hopping around . . . well, we were 6 feet in the air
You have a beautiful family - Marg, your daughter looks so much like you, she has the same cheek bones Stunning colour dress your daughter has for her sisters wedding
Fabulous, you did a damn good job here I have the same birthday as Michael Jordan and Larry the cable guy!!!! The following year, I became a 'victim' of Beatlemania - my cousin Emrys gave me my first Beatle album - 'With the Beatles' - I was caught, hook line and sinker! (I was 10 in '64) but in the year you have written about ('63) I remember the winter, so well - the River Thames froze as did the sea! Great post
It's so hard when kiddies are suffering some kind of torment at school. I know that sometimes, it's a bit of 'growing up' and having their own issues to deal with - finally starting to 'stand up for themselves' if, they have been subjected to a bit of bullying in the past by another child[ren]. If that is, the situation, then 'good for Dakota' in doing something, I think. From how you have described him in previous posts, I don't think you have anything to 'worry' about, he sounds a well behaved, caring sort of little boy, not at all 'loutish' -brakes or steering? get them seen to, you can't be too careful
Delightful poetry Marta A lot of the shrubbery are now embellished with buds around here - a stunningly beautiful season
