My ex was a very picky eater. Now, JR, he likes just about anything I cook, except mushrooms or asparagus. He has tried them and he honestly hates them. That is why they get served "on the side."
"That was another thing I couldn't do right. " Yeah... I couldn't do anything right. My ex always had a "nice" way of putting it. "With all your education, I can't believe you think that way or... I can't believe you just did that!" He was just jealous that I graduated with honors and he went through college on probation.
Thanks for the history lesson Angie. I'll have to visit that area some day. My roots came through Southern Illinois. They were wanderers... they came through a lot of States.
Oh Hobbes.... you are too too funny!
Thanks for the recipe. It is the time of year to enjoy pecan pie. We always have it at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is a favorite! But then... what pie isn't a favorite.
Bet the play was great. I loved the movie with Richard Gere. I'd take dancing lessons with him any day!
I like acorn squash fixed that way!
Geez fredo.... can't keep up with your prolific blogging today. You are on a roll.
If one thinks about it... it is the trials of life that builds strength and character. The good times are just extra stuff thrown into life for fun.
I always like that song, Fredo. And Natalie Wood... she was one of my favorites. I didn't know you were hearing impaired or about Dale, either. Chance lost some of his hearing due to the chemo therapy. I'm having to learn to talk louder because my voice is quite soft.
Great choice of song.
I love your blog today and your choice of songs. Georgia on my mind always makes me think of a dear friend named Georgia. I almost married her son just because I adored her so much, but decided that I didn't love him enough and gaining a wonderful mother-inlaw wasn't a good enough reason for marriage. I do miss her. Again... great songs and great explanations to go with each one.
That is cool.
Go for it girl!
Great song except for the Rograine part.
Sounds like Fort Massac would provide a really fun and educational outing. I love stuff like that. Enjoy your steaks. Annie :o)
Good morning from the West Coast and good afternoon to you on the East Coast. Just saw your smiling face on the mybloggers home page and thought I would drop by to say.... "Happy Sunday." It is a beautiful fall day here and I need to get out in that fresh air. Just glad I don't have all the leaves to rake like Fredo. But, my yard is full of pine needles. What a mess!
