My prayers are with you and your sister. I hope you enjoy the church service today and that attending does make you feel better.
Good song and good post.
My growing up was just on the other side of the mountain from where I now live. We had a sheep ranch and my dad sheared sheep to help supplement the income. He sheared sheep for over 50 years. My mom was a homemaker, gardener, mother, Sunday School teacher, and about anything she set her mind to. She spoke several languages and always regretted not becoming a school teacher. English was her favorite subject.
She was strict, but not strict enough for this rebellious child. She really didn't know what to do with me. Sadly, I didn't like her much, but now I really miss her and understand how wonderful she was.
We had a lot of freedom, too. On a ranch, one just has freedom because there is so much space to roam around on. My sister and I once ropped a steer and were going to ride it. Bad decision. We never did tell our parents. Although the steer didn't kill us, Mom and Dad would have.
"booby"
Your weekend sounds like it will be really nice. As for the margaritas... make mine a Top Shelf. In fact, two should just put me out for the whole weekend. Looking at a rather boring weekend here. Annie :o)
I know you will miss your friend. I did say goodbye to Kewpster.
We will miss you.
Great news, Kelli!
By-the-way, my Dad's birthday was a few days ago. If he had lived, he would now be 98 years old. He passed away at age 87 from prostate cancer. My auntie just passed away this year and she would have been 96 years of age on December 25th.
I understand how you feel about the cat.
You gonna rub that ice cream in your eyes????
I was the "perfect child", too. And my nose is now growing longer.
Sometimes, I can't figure out what He was really thinking.
