The 7 Needs for Survival

I too need to practice what I preach but what use is knowledge, if you don't share it!?!?!

I have lived in this world for 35 yrs., to some, that is nothing but I have had my fair share of pain, illness, etc... I have been diagnosed with Lupus, RA,and post traumatic stress syndrome.

My brother recently recovered from a deadly, brain tumor. Thank goodness, he is A-OK, now. However, not only did this impact my mother and father, it took it's toll on me-- as well.

I soon found myself feeling horrible, down and in chronic pain. Of course, I went to my physician and they ran every test under the sun. "Anna, your blood panel suggests you have----- this, that and the other thing".

Suddenly, I am on this pill and that pill and soon, I could not keep up with what I was taking and when. I decided that steroids led to weight gain, which lead to an increase in pain. My logic said, this cannot be any good!

In my studies, I had learned that we have 7 Survival Needs:

1> Nutrition

2> Water

3> Oxygen

4> Sunshine

5> Rest/Sleep

6> Nervous System

7> Love!

If you find that any one or several of these necessities, is out of whack--it will cause a shock to the system and everything will result in your system, shutting down.

I learned that I was being over medicated and how awful all of the synthetics were on my body. I decided that I would slowly take myself off of everything, shed the steroid pounds and stick to the 7 Needs.

I also incorporated tons of water and a lot of green veggies and more organics. Also, I increased the exercise in my life--to oxygenate the organs, as they need, to survive.

What is my point in all of this??? So much of our food is processed with added chemicals, we are over-medicated, amongst the dozens of other things that we clog our systems with.

Your body cannot function and do what it needs to do, if we do not incorporate a more healthy lifestyle. This is why we are seeing epidemics of; diabetes, obesity, lupus, RA, fibromyalgia, MS, etc....

So, let's get off of our cans--focus on eating more healthy and get back to the 7 Essentials of LIFE!

Our body strives to be in a homeostatic state (a state of well being)-----IF you can accomplish this with the 7 essentials, there is no reason to have pain and illness.

If you suffer from any of the above---- there is nothing, scientifically, that can deny that if your body is in a healthy state--you can rid of the disease or at least the symptoms of the disease and will certainly slow down any progress of the disease.

Happy Healthing!!!

Great post!!! My eating habits have changed radically in 3 years. I used to eat a lot of southern cooking, now everything I eat is whole grain or organic. I love brown rice, fresh veges and even hunt for free range chicken eggs. Over the past month and 1/2, I've shed 15 lbs and my exercise is consistently walking and working out doing resistance training. I feel better. I look better and I'm middle aged and getting in the best shape of my life before walking into my golden years. I even sleep better. It's a difficult change and it took much time for it to happen, but it did and I"m the better for it. Good for you! I have this problem with doctors and it's that they are licensed to practice and they practice on us!

Interesting, and I couldn't agree with you more. we all need to focus more on the naturals in life and less on pizza and fast food!

ty, that is very kind of you...I cannot tell you what to do but I can honestly say------I feel much better, without all of the meds! Stress is my biggest enemy, that is when you will find me in pain and having episodes--my RA levels are very close to normal, now.

I won't say it is going to work for everyone but a more natural diet, certainly helped me! I found things that triggered my symptoms: alcohol, chocolate (any sugar really) pizza is/was the worst--I don't drink sodas but every once in a blue moon.

There were days I would wake up and couldn't move my hands for about 30-45 mins. Any exposure to the sun and I had the classic butterfly mask--stress did the same.

Anyhow, my teacher had me cleanse my system and ever since--I have been symptom free. I am always here, to talk to....my heart truly goes out to you, I don't think I am as bad as you but I can certainly empathize.
