'National Bouillabaisse Day,

If you think something smells fishy today it just might be because
it's 'National Bouillabaisse Day,' a fine day to find another fish to
fry. Or, in this case, fold into a magically delicious and timely
recipe.
Bouillabaisse is a fish stew that originally hails from the
Marseille port region in France, and it contains many magical
ingredients that can make you feel like you're sipping a heaping helping
of Health, Happiness and Prosperity, the Three Great Blessings of Feng
Shui.
Besides the different types of cooked fish and shellfish included
in this tasty soup, a traditional bouillabaisse contains garlic, a spicy
herb that many believe guarantees good health and longevity when eaten
raw on a daily basis. This soup recipe also contains fresh grated orange
peel, the scent of which is believed to dispel depression and lift
spirits. A sprinkle of fresh fennel seeds can kill even the biggest fish
lovin' appetite, so only a calorie appropriate portion will fill the
belly and keep you satisfied long after the eating is done. The addition
of bay leaf and basil, when added to any recipe, promises the cook an
extra boost to their bottom line. Fresh basil, torn into little pieces
and scattered over the front and back threshold of the house will not
only bring some coin but also offers protection from intruders. NEXT

a
wish inscribed on a bay leaf with the head of the pin is believed to
come true if you put the leaf between the mattress and the box spring
for nine days straight. After the ninth day, crunch up the dried leaves
and blow the pieces to the wind, the same direction your wish is now
headed. So this fish stew could be incredibly delicious and magical for
you and yours. I'm not just telling tails out of school either!

So, you
might have bigger fish to fry but the ones added to this soup could make
your life go swimmingly!

I love the idea of bouillabaise, all that flavor cooked together, but what a mess to eat it - the shellfish is in its shells, which probably makes for more flavor, but can't be eaten without fingers. It's one of those recipes I would make at home just so I could really dive in and have a good time. The other dish is messy barbecued ribs.

So true yet sometimes I just need something so juicy and tasty and it runs down my chin, like ribs, it's been years since I've had them. I'm close to being a vegan
Thanks for the visit
