Ireland Pictures and Some Thoughts to Inspire

IrelandCarried By The Stream

From Daily Om

The
universal flow will almost always carry us gently toward our dreams,
provided we do not respond to unanticipated circumstances with
resistance. Though we may not always appreciate the pace of this most
natural form of progress, we can be sure that we are being shepherded in
the direction our destinies were meant to take us. To relax into this
flow is to discover that we need not fight against opposition to realize
our dreams. Instead, we can sit back and enjoy the ride, taking great
pleasure in the sights and sounds associated with the journey. Our will
is not subverted but rather enhanced by the assistance we receive from a
universe that requires nothing more from us than our willing
acquiescence. As you give yourself over to the universal flow today, a
reliable path leading toward your ambition will reveal itself to you.

Trust And Believe

Trust means that you
are offered the promise of safety and can accept it. Both parts are
necessary – there has to be the offer of emotional openness and also the
ability to accept that a safe haven is truly present. The question is, where can any of us turn for trust? First you must
trust yourself, finding enough security so you are not blocked from your
own release. We all feel inhibited. It is embarrassing to cry out in
anguish.Look inside and ask yourself if you hold any of the following
beliefs: I’ve been hurting so long that it’s too late to change. I’m
waiting for someone to notice my pain. My pain means that I am alive. I
deserve to be this way. Why won’t someone rescue me? I am crying out
to be loved. I am not meant to understand. Each of these attitudes gives you a reason to prolong suffering and
block its release. Every time you repeat these rationales, you thicken
the walls that imprison you. You have the choice to hold onto these
beliefs for as long as you want, but trapped energies become stronger
the more they are repressed. The cycle of denial and suffering has to be broken. In place of the
negative beliefs that have thickened the walls of repression, begin to
absorb those beliefs that make the walls thinner, even if you haven’t
fully accepted them yet. Each positive belief reverses a negative one. It doesn’t matter how long I’ve been hurting this way: I can change.
Perhaps not enough people have noticed my pain and taken it seriously,
but I have noticed, and that is enough. My pain doesn’t make me alive,
it shuts out countless possibilities by blocking them from my life. I
deserved to be healed. I don’t need rescuing; I need help. There is
always someone willing to help. I may not understand what is happening
to me now, but if I undertake the healing journey, understanding will
come.  Adapted from The Deeper Wound: Recovering the Soul from Fear and Suffering, by Deepak Chopra (Harmony Books, 2001).

Happy St.Patty Day.This is the day that the Italians wear orange.]

The invaders of Ireland have been known as "Orange" ever since 1690 when William of Orange (William III), the King of England, Scotland, and Ireland, won the Battle of the Boyne near Dublin. William's victory would ensure "Orange" military dominance on the island and has been a source of tension with the Irish ever since.
The Irish flag has a white stripe to symbolize peace between the green stripe (Catholic) and the orange stripe (protestant).
Maybe the Italians are sympathizing with the protestants?

When I worked in Piccolo's 55 years ago--an Italian restaurant--on St. Pat's Day Sam Piccolo would make everything green--green ravioli, green garlic rolls, green veal, chicken, beef, EVERYTHING a BRIGHT green--it is all I ever think about on St. Pat's Day 55 years later!
