Little by little things are falling into place for THE party of the year--MINE!!
The following is the menu that will be served at Café Vico in honor of My 20th Leap Year birthday--Monday, February 29, 2016--something for everyone (and I get to eat the leftovers!!)
ALL WILL BE SERVED FAMILY STYLE
1. Hot Antipasto: Fried Calamari--Homemade Meatballs with Marinara Sauce
2. Cold Appetizer Platter: Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese, Olives, Imported Salami, Prosciutto and Marinated Mixed Vegetables
MAIN COURSES:
3.Homemade Lasagna alla Bolognese
4.Penne Pomodoro
5.Chicken Breast sauteed in a Lemon and White Wine Sauce
6. Veal Scaloppini in a Marsala Sauce with Mushrooms
7. Filet of Snapper sauteed with Capers, onions, Black Olives and Tomatoes in a White Wine Sauce.
8. Dessert Tray
9. Birthday Cake
In addition to the trays of Italian desserts there will also be a 3 tier carrot/chocolate birthday cake.
Included will be coffee, iced tea and sodas. Carafes of wine will be on the table during dinner.
All other Alcoholic beverages are pay per consummation--cash and carry.
And yes, because Mary and Chuck are so pushy, I am working on my “want/need/wish gift list” in time for the holiday sales.
