Buddy's abscess is getting better and he is starting to eat dry food in addition to the canned food. He was not impressed with the various new flavors brought in to tempt him to eat, and has returned to his beloved Mixed Grill.

He has improved enough that he can be left alone for a couple of nights.

I haven't seen it, but understand he's a little rough looking because the hair fell off the side of his face where the abscess is.

We don't know yet if the abscess was caused by a tooth gone bad or he was scratched by another cat. Once the swelling has gone down enough he will go back to the vet and might still need an $800 surgery to extract the tooth.

I can't wait to see him in a couple of days and decide what to do next.
