Just past the place where I pick up my mail in the summer is a fork in the road that goes to Glen Haven, Colorado. On the very edge of town is a tiny, tiny house painted purple.

Here is their shed:

And their river frontage is across the road.

There is a wonderful purple gazebo outside where they put together jigsaws all summer and inside is the cutest little nest. It's all there, everything a person would need, even though very small. As you can tell from the purple their taste is interesting. The interior decor is classic whore house, but it comes off very cute. The wall paper is flocked red, and there are bunches of pillows on the brass bed with lace and fringe. The bathroom has an adorable half-size clawfooted bathtub, and there are antiques displayed all over the place.
I've never been to their main house in town but have been told it is jam-packed with antiques, and what I've seen is just the spillover.
Their river is the North Fork of the Big Thompson River, smaller than the one I live on, and very charming. The owners have been spending less and less time there because their place is right on the road and on weekends the traffic is very heavy and disruptive, with lots of noisy motorcycles. A few years ago they were making plans to build an addition, but because of the proximity to the road they couldn't get county planning approval.
