After they left one of the hummingbirds hit the window and it took him about an hour to recover and fly away. When they are stressed they puff out their feathers and hunch down.

We're having interesting weather, warm but not hot, overcast skies a good part of the day, but no rain. Yesterday there was a heavy dew, and frost formed on the house roof.
I'm going to have to crank up the pump to draw water out of the river to water the yards.. This pump house belonged to Olive Ludlow, who used to own the cabin next door. Somehow it survived the 1976 big flood, and saying that, I wish my dad was here so I ask him where the floodwaters deposited it intact because so many big houses and buildings didn't survive.

So, please send me your extra rain. Thanks.
