When we used to live in the city in Colorado these old people would come see me once in awhile and they thought I was so good-looking they'd always exclaim: "Buddy's a show cat! Look at the show cat!" So that's how I see myself: The Show Cat. And I get to sit anywhere I want because show cats are celebrities.
Here I am reading the newspaper upside down. Us show cats are very talented.

I used to have a sister named Pudgy but she got a big bladder stone and even though there was surgery, she didn't live very long after that. I think it was because she wouldn't eat the special food.

She let me herd her around like a sheep, but always made a big fuss about it. I don't miss her at all because I am the most important cat in the world and shouldn't have to share my house with anybody.
One of my hobbies is to get up in the middle of the night and chew on the toilet paper. I do it because I'm bored and nobody will wake up and play with me.

My favorite thing is my cardboard scratchy box that I use as a pillow in the sun and I have a new blue ribbon to play with.

The other day those people who live here brought home a new spread for the bed that I like because it is shiny and feels good on my fur. I stayed on it a couple of hours in the afternoon, and slept there all night, too. I like it so much I have to bite it sometimes to show how much.

They thought I was going to stay on my special sweater (that pink thing) and blanket on the bed, but that's so yesterday: I've moved on to this new shiny thing and will not be budged.

If they leave me at home alone they had better cover the new spread with a blanket or I will really have to bite it a lot.
