I love it when stores have surprise items. There's been times I decided 'I don't need that,' and I was sorry later.
How nice to know there's a good movie out there. I'm looking forward to seeing it some time.
Silly kitties! They act nonchalant, but always have an ear tuned to detect a door that's been left ajar so they can make their escape.
Your holiday menu planning always inspires me. Right now I'm thinking about your 'lots of cookies!' Not just cookies, but lots of them. I'm going to add another kind to my list.
I can't remember if this is the one, but there's one restaurant you review that is my favorite - the one that has/had the daily specials. It always sounded like they had reasonable prices and you always had good things to say about it.
I laughed about the pea soup - my family would probably do the same.
Even if it takes two years to do it, I agree with waiting to name a cat until the perfect name comes to you.
City streets have so much stuff under them - water and sewer pipes, electrical lines, even subways - I always picture them as hollow shells and wonder that they don't cave in more often.
It takes me several days to think of something that I think is "My Bloggers" post-worthy. I'm glad for the people still here, and that Eddie has kept this platform available for us: my gosh! it's been a lot of years.
They must be doing very well to be contemplating all that construction. The way they handled the Groupon sounds a bit Bait and Switch. Yesterday I had a rare meal out at an Olive Garden with neighbors from the canyon. I know everyone says 'Olive Garden isn't Italian food' and I didn't consider the Chicken Marsala with Mashed Potatoes to be Italian, but it was well-prepared and tasted good.
Reminds me of the time we were in Binion's Casino Coffee Shop (downtown Las Vegas) and Mr. YouKnow whispered (he never whispers - I used to try to get him to do it to see if he knew how) 'Don't look, but that woman at the next table has a little teddy bear on her lap and she's talking to it.' It was Beanie Baby size, blue, with its chin in the table in front of her plate of food. We had to make up our own story about that one.
It goes both ways for me - sometimes it's the long version, others, the short version. The second time I did the exact same search that 'genius' link didn't even come up, and I had full urls for the search results. But I expect it to get worse. I googled (hah) to find out what causes this and couldn't understand the answer - something about breadcrumbs, and it seemed to address it from the website owner's view (because that's who asked the question about what caused it) and blame the website owner for somehow causing it.
Geraniums are one of my favorite flowers. We had a pair of marked down hanging pots of them with flowers that ranged from dark orange to corals to light pinks all in the same pot. For more than 10 years we've taken them back and forth between Las Vegas and Colorado, depending on the season. Last year I gave one away, and the one that's left got frost nipped a couple weeks ago, so I'm wondering if it will recover. It's probably time to get a new geranium next spring that isn't so pot bound, and I'm sure it will bring years of enjoyment. I would say that I'll miss this varied color one, but unless I have pictures of it when it was in its prime, I'm sure that I'll forget all about it.
This reminds me of a comment I made to JanetK years ago - about going away from this group for a long time and then coming back. I said: 'Come back any time. We'll still be here talking about our pets and the weather in our parts of the country.'
Carrot cake in any context always reminds me of you!
