Let Me Tell You About Me Without Saying Anything
1. I'm not old. I don't consider anything below 85 to be old anymore. Lately, "old age" has gotten further and further away. I remember when I was a kid, it was 40! LOL
2. I'm not short. I know teenagers who tower over me and I'm 5'9". Not short for a woman, but I think they must be feeding kids something now that makes them grow. I can't believe some teen girls hit the 6 ft mark easily.
3. I'm not unhappy. I have my moments, but generally, I have a great home life, a person to love, a wonderful family and great animals to pet. I have had many unhappy moments and times, especially over the past months, but over all I am not unhappy.
4. I am spiritual. However, I'm not religious. For me religion cannot be "boxed". My church building is the sky, the ocean, the mountains and the sunset and sunrise and I can worship my Creator wherever and whenever I wish, as well as talk to Him. For me (and I'm judging no one)it does not depend on a building, but on my own heart.
5. I love to eat. How can one not love good food. Let me clarify that -- I do mean GOOD food. I don't like fast food at all. Can't stand a burger unless I make it. Can't stand Mickey D's or Wendy's or any of those places that offer stuff I wouldn't feed my dogs. Sorry, that's just the way it is. I love to eat food that is well cooked and well seasoned, preferably broiled or grilled or baked. My only true "bad" habit is diet soda. I'm trying to give it up, but it's a toughie for me. I'd rather not and just drink tons of water and eat healthy. I probably could live on salad -- actually I sort of do. I really really love salad and can't stand to go without it for even a day! Feel like I've missed something. I may be part rabbit on second thought. LOL
6. I do love chocolate. Only dark, at least 60^ cocoa and just a bite at a time. I make it a practice to have one Ghiardelli dark chocolate square per day. That's it and that's all, but I do look forward to it! (Sigh) I have it immediately after dinner and it's sooooooooo wonderful.
7. I have become wise. I use to think that most people were good by nature, but I've found that that is an overstatement. Truth is -- there are many people out there who are simply trying to take advantage of us or hurt us and we need to be wary in these times we live in. I've learned the hard way to be cautious. I'll never make that mistake again.
Now, you know me, without really knowing me, isn't that smart?
