Now for those who don't like cats, this is a cat who has been raised with dogs and trust me, outside of the purring thing, they are a different breed. She owns all 3 other dogs and truly they don't mess with her. They know she has claws (albeit short because I now have Pedipaws), but still they accept her as one of the dogs.
She is a demanding sort however, she wants to be fed and right NeOW! Too funny, and she gripes at you when you don't feed her, yet she retains her girlish figure even at the healthy age of 6. She's something else to tell you the truth.
My hubby says "this is the last cat" and I say to myself, probably not. I've had a cat in my life for the last 30 years. I enjoy their individuality and their lack of neediness. Usually when they come to you, it is out of realy affection -- or they are hungry of course as with any animal. She's been fed this a.m. and really is ready to settle in for a nap, but here she sits -- warming my lap, her chin resting comfortably on my left typing hand -- purring away. Wow, and she's here because she loves me and I'm her warm lap. I like that.
