My family has experienced much in this last year. Life and death, hurt, a lot of ugliness from people who don't know us, yet we have also been blessed with good friends. We've also made new ones. People who are supportive because they know our hearts. I've had words of encouragement from people I have never met personally. These have helped in more ways than I can possibly explain.
What does it cost us to be encouraging just for a day? It's a word spoken out of kindness. Maybe that person just looks sad or you can tell he/she is having a bad day. Maybe that person is not feeling so good about themselves and your one word of encouragement could lift them up and get them through the day. It's amazing what words can do when spoken at the right moment.
I encourage you, break out your kind words and make someones day today! You could be the person they look back at and remember throughout their lives.
