Time ...

Time is timeless. This occurred to me after reading John's "The Power of Now" and wandering into Strider's "The Path." It also slipped into my mind after Raragoe's comment on "Over the Rainbow." This is because what he said caused me to look up Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I found that he died at a young age in 1998. I seem to find lots of singers after they die. For instance, I like Orbison, the Beatles (half gone), the Righteous Brothers (one is gone, I'm not sure which). A sibling never even mentioned Willie Nelson or Waylon Jennings until a year ago. So I didn't know Waylon until after he had gone. I do know Willie and he's still alive.

There are many artists who are gone but are still relevant. I do like them quite a lot. I think a pleasant voice combined with bouncy or sweet or rocking music is always wonderful... old or new.

I have Keith Urban on my Home Page. I love Keith Urban. Maybe he'll ditch Nicole some day... well, one can dream. He's still very much alive.

This is Roy, added to youtube just about 3 weeks ago. I don't know if they're going to allow it to stay... because it's from his Black and White Night. If not, this is going to be a dead area in awhile... poor Roy!

You've made me think of the great singers who died so young: Buddy Holley, Bobbie Darin, Janis Joplin, etc. How much great music they would have made had they lived longer!! The same is true in classical music: Schubert & Gershwin come to mind.
