After a week of dealing with the death of my Grandmother , I decided to reinstate myself into the blogosphere by paying her tribute. ...
She was a strong woman who spent the final thirty-four years of her life a widow. She never waivered in her to her family. She was always laughing and able to joke with us, even until her final months as she was facing a death she knew would come soon. She was a model for generosity and compassion and was always able to recount stories we weren't around for. Some of these include her time as a nurse during the second world war. She also has had sense of faith in her, taking us to mass and attending Mass on her own as long as she was able.
She died having been physically altered by illness but it never warm spirit when we would come to visit never ceased. She will be missed by all who knew her but at least we know there is someone waiting for us on the other side when our time comes. If the family could carry her qualities with us until then it would be a fabulous tribute to her memory. I intend to try. Thanks for the memories Gee!
