Mccain & Palin Shoveling

Palin was stumped in video below...why?

The reason she was stumped is somewhat simple: McCain, in his 26 years in Congress has been a strict champion of deregulation. As my colleague, Nico Pitney reported: Back in October 1999, when Senate Republicans led by Phil Gramm were deep in negotiations on key legislation to deregulate the banking industry, McCain was at a primary debate in New Hampshire touting the benefits of such a measure.

"There's a number of reasons why we are experiencing this almost unprecedented prosperity," McCain said back then. "Among them are a lack of regulation, free trade, and most importantly, we are going through a revolution the likes of which the world has seldom seen."

Here is the entirety of Couric's interview with Palin.

COURIC: You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?

David Letterman on McCain & the Debates

"In the middle of the taping Dave got word that McCain was, in fact just down the street being interviewed by Katie Couric. Dave even cut over to the live video of the interview, and said, "Hey Senator, can I give you a ride home?"

Earlier in the show, Dave kept saying, "You don't suspend your campaign. This doesn't smell right. This isn't the way a tested hero behaves." And he joked: "I think someone's putting something in his metamucil."

"He can't run the campaign because the economy is cratering? Fine, put in your second string quarterback, Sarah Palin. Where is she?"

"What are you going to do if you're elected and things get tough? Suspend being president? We've got a guy like that now!"

OH - I and did you catch Couric's interview with Palin!? It was like watching the perky cheerleader interview the clueless prom queen for the high school paper.

I've been shocked and stumped since yesterday over this and I'm not even voting for the guy. More importantly - he's not needed in Washington until it's time for the Senate to vote! He's not part of the Senate Banking Committee that's working out the details! He's not the President yet - STAY OUT OF IT. Urge for bipartisanship, stay abreast of the situation, but STAY OUT unless they ask for your help! What the F!?

McCain seems to have no memory for details and I wouldn't be at all surprised if something neurological was going on. Sarah didn't acquit herself very well with Katie Couric, in fact she did sound like Paris Hilton.

I have the Dave excerpt on my site on Republicrats. It's near the bottom... So, McCain had the interview with Dave, but canceled out with a lame excuse and went to Couric's... Rude!

McCain reminds me of the Gipper when his Alzheimers' was beginning to show during the last two years of his presidency. Palin reminds me of a brunette Paris Hilton.

You know how I'm voting!
