The Bail Out and Mr. Potter

George Bush has announced a bail out plan for the Big Three Auto Makers and I have to say, it’s probably the only thing he’s done that I agree with in his 8 years of office. However, House Republican leader John Boehner called the plan "regrettable." So how do we interpret regrettable? Does John really want to see the country sink into even more economic trouble by throwing millions more out of work? You have to wonder about this old guard of “so called” conservatives still haunting the halls of congress. Are we supposed to take the advice of those who got us into this? After all, these old extreme right wingers always just seem to help people that don’t need help. They’ve created a modern day Pottersville with almost twenty percent of Americans under water in their homes paying for homes now that are worth less then what they owe? I think it’s clear with strict conditions that an attempt has to be made to save this industry to keep this country from sliding into a real depression. Can you imagine the other option of bankruptcy? Suppliers being cut off with parts already delivered or the marketable nature of an American car? We can’t afford to lose this huge manufacturing base and core jobs of many middleclass Americans. But hell, John doesn’t care; let Toyota build more plants for those southern Republicans and true to their nature, who the hell wants to help Obama to make him look good? The hell with Americans, let them suffer all of their friends are doing fine.

Remember the contract with America or the perpetual majority or The nuclear option? Ancient history now, but the fade continues for the GOP simply because they aren’t conservatives, they are the Potter’s of Washington. After watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” once again after countless times, it’s clear to me that Mr. Potter is one of these fading breeds of Republicans and the current face of the GOP.

You decide...

I doubt if he has a single clue that he has been the worst president in American history and has played havoc with American lives.

I think there are a few Mr. Smiths still around, just really hard to find... Unfortunately a lot of Mr. Potters, very easy to find! As for Mr. Bush... what can be said?

This bailout is Bush's last hurrah. Maybe in his mind, the last things he does will be the ones remembered, so something good would make up for all the rest.

Thanks for this. Only a few weeks more and we'll be free of Bush, the guy with God in his pocket, who cannot speak a clear sentence, and who has brought the country to its knees.
