Is Growing Up, Worth It?

When I think of money, I think "shopping for whatever I want". But now that I am 20 Years Old I feel like I have to prioritize my money more. Growing up scares me. I don't want to be the 40 year old living in my parents basement, or the 20 year old still at home. But that safe haven right under my parents arms seems a whole lot better then life on my own. What do you guys think? For those of you still living at home. Are you scared to move out? Also, for those of you who have your own place, and paying your own bills. Is it as scary as I think it is? :/

I stayed home with the parentals til I was 26. I wouldn't recommend it but it also is not the end of the world. It's empowering to have your own place with your own bills --- you can call it YOURS! Do you have friends that might be willing to be roommates? That might be a great place to start. While you live with your parents save every penny you can for any future "scary" time. That should help ease your mind!

Lol, well the thing is. I love all my friends, and family. But I don't feel comfortable leaving my stuff with other people like that. You know what I mean? I wouldn't have to worry about people being there all hours of the night since I am a full time student. But I would definitely love to call something mine. lol Thanks for commenting

you have a lot of challenge to endure.Lot of life there.
I hear what your saying. Not sure about your income if you can do this alone.
Are you finished with schooling? Many young people are still living at home.
Lot of them cannot keep up with inflation.
Once you get settled and find the job that you want, then you can go for it.
Paying your own bill is not scary. What is scary that many do not know how to handled this. They maxed out on their credit card etc.
First find yourself and go from there.
You will be fine.Good Luck and knowing that you are going to worked this out and that is good.
welcome to greay.

Awe well thank you! Yeah, my income is not that great. I think I am probably going to wait till I actually finish school, and get a good job, and go from there. :] I was just thinking about all this last night, and decided to just pay my parents rent, so I can get somewhat sense of feeling what its like to give up money, and it will make me feel a whole lot better if I help them. Thanks for commenting, and checking out my blog. :]
