So I have been spending the last two days providing my boss, and others information about my departure. I simply cannot tell you how good it felt to say, "I am done, I can't do this anymore" and also have a new job that pays more and requires me to work less hours.
Non profits are pretty awesome people. They pride themselves on work life balance! I have a 35 hour work week and I am making more money! Sign me up. I am excited, in case you can't tell.
This weekend, I am going to lounge with Spike and probably go into the office to take my personal stuff out of there. Last night Navy D came over. He's off to the desert for 10 days and then to KY for 5 or so days. He could tell that I was not myself last night. Since we've been together, this is our first "trip" that he's had to take. Additionally, he keeps saying he's spending time with his family for up to 14 months in KY. I am not so much a fan of this in case you didn't know.
He went to a job fair yesterday, and had a lot of fun conversations with some potential employers. He thanked me for my encouragements. Now it's kind of let's see what happens to submitting this resume to everyone. I am hoping he'll get a lot of fantastic job opportunities and not want to leave this area. We shall see, indeed.
I am excited for my own future, and what happens with Navy D, well that's all extra bonus stuff in my mind. I hope that you're all doing well.
Happy Wednesday.
