This past weekend was a glorious one. I spent the majority of it with my family in a state that is nearby my state. They live about 45 minutes away from me, so after a hike with the Spiker, I headed up there.
I got there around noon on Saturday, and after a bit of futzing around, my Aunt was ready to run errands. We went in quest of a cheap comforter. For those that are unaware, Spike considers these items to be a bit of a delicacy. I am not exactly sure why but he does. It is for this very reason that I cannot justify the cost of a super expensive one. Did I find one? No. Did I look everywhere? yes. After we ran errands we came back to their place to watch some Penn State Football. The Nittany Lions won, again. I guess they are undefeated.
Sunday was wedding day for my cousin. We went to meet with a photographer and then went to look at invitation paper, and finished up the save the dates. I played a good round of mexican dominos and headed home for the night.
Monday I had off because I work for a non profit, which follows the government's schedule. This was nice and I was able to secure a new bed for myself and for my den. I purchased a queen bed for my room and a day bed for the den. I am quite excited about the new bed as mine is going on 15 years old. After I bought the bed, I grabbed some lunch and went to the grocery store. I headed home and tucked myself in on the couch cause I wasn't feeling fantastic. I woke up on the couch in a sweat at 530. EEK!
My Momma called me shortly after I awoke and asked what the actual moving day was. She's going to come down and stay here till Thanksgiving. It appears that my devious plotting to get Thanksgiving here has worked. So she'll help me get settled and hang stuff and we'll have some bonding time. As I get older, I have more fun with her when it's just the two of us. I don't know why but I do.
Anywho. Hope you're all doing well.
