I have been in Vegas since late Sunday night. Getting to the airport was a race! I woke up Sunday morning, hiked with Spike for two hours so he'd be tired for the family. Then I finished packing and headed to the family's house to drop Spike off. I dropped him off and made it to the airport in about 1.5 hours to departure. I parked in the economy lot and it took no less than 40 minutes to get to ticketing. Then I went to ticketing and the line was out of this world. I played the can I get in that line card because of the issues with the shuttles. It worked. I made it to the gate with 5 minutes to spare.
So we got here with no problem. We had heard from our co worker that they were going to leave on Monday instead of Sunday. They had some food poisoning issues... That being said. We got off the plane and had a text message from the coworker saying that she was going to get on the plane and come to Vegas. We went to our rooms and I got room service for dinner. I had the BEST room ever. I am staying at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas. I am in P suite, which has a king size bed, a couch a chair, an enormous bathroom. ALL on the company dime. I am not Kidding. It's freaking great. So I got up and went downstairs.
Our co worker who wasn't feeling well. She got off the plane, sat on her luggage in the taxi line and fainted. She went into the rope, and ate concrete. Turned out she BROKE her nose. No I am not kidding. She's ok now. She rested up and she doesn't even have any brusing. I would not be that lucky if you know what I mean.
I have attended some conference sessions, read my electronics for dummies book, and started an enormous to do list. So far it's been fantastic and I look forward to coming back next year when I actually have money to spend and can see some shows. Apparently the Circe de Soeil shows are amazing. I did gamble a whole $1 it was fun, but short lived. Tomorrow before I head toe airport I may put a few more dollars into the slot machine. Fun times.
I head back tomorrow night on the red eye. I am looking forward to being back. I miss Spike and Navy D. I look forward to having Friday off. YAY.
Happy times. I hope you're all doing well.
